In 2017, our customer embarked on a strategic initiative to optimize its nitrogen handling processes within its production facilities. At the core of this initiative was the automation of nitrogen supply valve operations, which were previously managed manually. The primary goals of this project were to improve operational efficiency, enhance safety measures, achieve cost savings, and ensure consistent product quality through precise control of nitrogen flow rates.

Overcoming Nitrogen Management Challenges

Before automation, our customers faced challenges with manual valve operation, including inconsistent nitrogen flow rates, potential safety hazards, and operational inefficiencies from constant monitoring and adjustment. The automation project aimed to address these issues with clear objectives: enhancing customization by tailoring nitrogen flow rates to specific production needs, increasing reliability through consistent, error-free nitrogen supply, enhancing safety by reducing risks associated with manual handling, and achieving cost savings and operational efficiency by improving resource utilization and reducing downtime.

Our Solution

To meet these objectives, we proposed the Pneumatic Ball Valve with Actuator PKO-3/2-040-D068 from our product range, which offers a range of benefits. The pneumatic actuator allows automated valve control based on predetermined signals, eliminating manual intervention and enhancing precision in nitrogen flow control.
