In 2022, Fuelco embarked on a strategic project in Dubai, UAE, to enhance their global customers’ fuel storage infrastructure. The primary goal was to implement a reliable, cost-effective solution to meet stringent safety and operational requirements. The project faced several challenges, particularly identifying suitable actuators for their needs, which is where we stepped in.

Identifying a customized solution

The project for Fuelco was executed in several phases to ensure smooth integration and minimal disruption to their ongoing operations. First, a detailed assessment of their requirements and existing infrastructure was conducted to determine the best approach. We identified our Valpes electric actuators, specifically the VSX150 and VSX300 models, known for their suitability in ATEX applications, as the ideal solution to their challenges. The VSX150 and VSX300 models were then customized based on our assessment to meet Fuelco’s specific operational needs.

The actuators were installed following customization, integrating seamlessly with the existing fuel storage systems. Rigorous testing and validation confirmed their reliable and safe performance. The project was successfully completed in 2022, with the new actuators fully operational and meeting all specified objectives.

Following installation, comprehensive testing and calibration procedures were conducted to validate the filtration system’s performance and functionality. This involved simulating various operating conditions and scenarios to assess the system’s response and identify potential issues or deviations. Through meticulous testing and calibration, Advanced Fluid Power aimed to optimize system performance and ensure the seamless operation of the filtration system.
